A Gathering of Rednecks & Geeks

About once a month our four families (mine, 2 sisters' families and Mom & Dad and pets) gather at someone's house for a birthday, holiday or a "hey-she cooked" get-together.
Conversation will range from work-related to baby related and from pet related to the inevitable "Guess what happened to my computer."
We're lucky to have two technologically gifted rednecks in our extended family. They can talk towers and laptops and IBM memory. I have a rough time joining in or keeping up with a conversation that turns techie, but to my great relief, talk always turns again quickly around our collective table.
Then we're off and running at the mouth in a whole new direction. That's our family in a nutshell. Laughter, brain food too many carbs!
