Where's the Cool Weather?

Daddy-O tried to do some landscaping yesterday on the side of the house. In the morning it was in the sun so he thought he'd wait till afternoon. By the afternoon it was 97 degrees. I don't think it mattered that the side of the house was finally shaded.
If we set up his shop light to do it in the middle of the night, do you think the neighbors would think we're spotlighting slugs? (Is that illegal, like spotlighting deer?)
If Northern folks go South for the winter, where do Northern folks go in the summer? Do they pack up their travelpro luggage and head more North? Do people have summer cottages in Winnipeg? I did check the weather there today: High 68, pleasantly warm.
Oh yeah - sign me up for a cottage.
