Through PayPerPost Direct, advertisers can now hand-pick bloggers to write blog ads. Negotiations begin when the advertiser clicks the PayPerPost Direct "HIRE ME" button. (See it in my sidebar?) The coolest bit of technology pops up and that's where the advertiser can set the parameters for their sponsored post... and that's just the beginning! The advertiser and the postie/blogger are able to hash over the finer points (with no middleman) until there's the equivalent of a virtual handshake. High on the list of this fantastic features is the fact that PPP Direct only charges a 10% service fee (more of YOUR money working for YOU), whereas other similar marketplaces charge 35, 50, even as much as (gulp) 100% markup. Advertisers also have the option of using their credit card or their existing PayPerPost account.
I as a postie/blogger appreciate the security of the escrow-like account of the money, and the fact that I don't need to put my personal e-mail or phone number out there. Oh, and this system even has Uncle Sam covered!
