Help Teens Manage Money
Have you ever heard of a chore system attached to a prepaid card? Visa Buxx offers parents that and more. Kids and parents can view chores through the website. Parents can set the chore's worth. Kids get reminders and PayJr keeps track of money paid or owed each child. I didn't see a button that says "GROUNDED," but parents can suspend the card, or cancel any time.
For the teens, there is the prepaid MasterCard that can work with the chores, recurring allowances, even gifts from grandparents. This could give parents some peace of mind. In an emergency, (out of gas, need a tow) they can use just like any other piece of plastic we hesitate to lend them.
Parents have access to an activity sheet also. Very handy for keeping tabs.
There are so many more tools for learning money management now than when we were kids. Compare and take advantage of this FDIC insured card.

I think tools like this are awesome! Most people in our society are terrible with money. It is so much better to teach kids how to handle money when they are young and mistakes don't really matter as much. I was even surprised to learn that several schools for troubled teens are using this to help rehabilitate kids.
