20th Anniversary

June 13th is our 20th Anniversary!!
Here are some random observations...in no particular order.
*I wonder if there's some elitist club where only folks who make it past 10 years can get a membership? ('Cause somebody needs to give us a medal or a plaque... or a "get out of jail free" card.)
*First rule for staying married this long - don't keep loaded guns in the house.
*It's perfectly fine to have days where the only reason to stay together is "the sex is good." (thought I was going to say "the children," didn't ya?)
*A sense of humor can help you bond, be your best defense, your biggest weapon, or contribute to the reasons you'll be sleeping on the couch.
*Hard times shouldn't pull you apart, they should pull you together.
*It's funny how we taught Kiddo not to sleep in our bed, but we can't teach the dog.
*Commitment, committed...what's the difference?
*We still write each other notes. (In the margins of the crossword puzzle book that's on the back on the commode)
*After this long, it's not considered "butting in" if one finishes the other's sentence. It actually takes both of us just to remember the story we're telling.
*Can't forget to add one last reason we've stayed together this long.... No one else would put up with us.
