Mini-Vacation Dilemma

So... It's Friday YaY! Happy Dance!
Daddy-O took off work today and the grandparents have been alerted to the teenage intrusion (AKA Kiddo) before noon.
Ziggy is going to visit Elmo at grandparents, too.
Dishes are done. Check!
Clothes washed. Check!
Housework done. Check! err... well, whatever ain't done...ain't gettin' done. Check!
Cashed check...ummm... Check!

Now what?
In our younger years we would have no problem taking out on an impromptu road trip. Wherever we landed is where we found something fun and interesting to do. So why today, does it feel like we need a destination?
We're having a terrible time deciding, and I keep coming back to the question of 'why do we have to decide?"
The only real question is: North, South, East or West?"
