The Catch-All after Thanksgiving Post

Our family had Thanksgiving on Saturday, because we didn't know if Daddy-O would make it home by Thursday. To our surprise, he did.
Thanksgiving Day, my sister brought our Dad and we decided to have chinese food. All three Chinese Restaurants here in town, were closed. We ended up at the truck stop. Daddy-O was not enthused, but he was a good sport about it.
The Flying J truck stop has decent breakfasts for trucker grub, but the Thanksgiving buffet was DRY. All of it. I guess that's why you cover your plate in gravy. Bad food is seldom memorable, but good company to share it with is.
Our Thanksgiving get-together on Saturday was great. Daddy-O smoked a turkey, and my youngest sister brought a baked one. We had all the trimmings, ate until we hurt, laughed until we could puke, and then watched "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation".
