Book Swap
Recently, I decided NOT to frequent a used bookstore in a neighboring town. Three bucks a piece for paperbacks that are neither in decent shape nor catagorized. If it feels like a garage sale, it should have garage-sale-prices. Sometimes it's just not worth picking through jumbled piles and still come away empty-handed. Discouraging.
There's no rummaging at titletrader. Here is a site where you can swap books, CDs, DVDs, VHS, video games and magazines. Post an item to swap and when you mail an item, you get Request Points to make a selection for an item you want. It sounds quite simple and it's FREE!
There's the handy search feature.
I found: for 2 points "Hee Haw Collection Vol. 3 - DVD"
Also for 2 points "Linkin Park - Frat Party at The Pankake Festival - DVD"
And a classic for 2 points "1969 Better Homes and Gardens Ground Meat Cook Book"
There's a wishlist and a spot for feedback. Very steamlined site. To make it even easier, they have integrated USPS labels into the site.
So, if you're cleaning out your closet to make room for winter clothes and you happen to find all that music by Meatloaf... now you know where to go to swap it for those Three Stooges Cartoons!![]()
