Prom Tonight

Tonight Kiddo is going to the Prom with her Beau. They are double-dating with one of his friends and his date. Normally, Freshmen don't get to go to prom, but this is at Beau's (he's a Junior) small catholic high school, so his school allowed it as long as Kiddo got a paper signed that said she was a student-in-good-standing at her public school.

Kiddo picked out a wine/plum colored, two-piece gown that goes beautifully with her red hair and fair skin. We had it altered for length and took in the sides a bit. Beau got his tux last night, and I'm sure he'll be a handsome gentleman when he comes to pick her up. His mom ordered the flowers.

I'm sending money with her for professional pictures and a camera for lots more. It's a shame that Daddy-O won't be here to see his baby girl off. Although I've met and talked to Beau several times, Daddy-O hasn't had the satisfaction of giving the "What are your intentions with my daughter?" speech, yet.

Tonight's Itinerary:
Pick up other couple
Attend church with Beau's parents
Go to someone's house for a parental-picture-taking session
Dinner at a Fancy (put your napkin on your lap and no bodily sounds allowed) Restaurant
Attend Prom
Drop off other couple

With drive-time included (because the towns around here are spread out) Beau will be here about 2 p.m. and they should be back around 1 a.m.
